Bring on the Idiocracy

Democrats wanted Idiocracy and they are getting it.

California Democratic Party shocks Dianne Feinstein by not endorsing her

Say what you will about Feinstein, she was good at her job (unlike the moron Boxer). If she loses, it will hurt the Democrats in the Senate.

Also, Jewish Democrats are keeping a lid on the BDS movement. Feinstein is one more link in that chain. Won't be long until BDS is in the Democrat platform.

Tribalists Have Beam in Eye

David Brooks Denounces Your "Tribal Emotions" and Also Is, Personally, Stoked to Learn He's Steven Pinker's 3rd Cousin
They got 15 Jewish-American celebrities (Ruth Behar, Joshua Bell, Mayim Bialik, David Brooks, Linda Chavez, Alan Derhowitz, Stephen Dubner, Nadine Epstein, Tovah Feldshuh, A.J. Jacobs, Steven Pinker, Robert Siegel, Thaddeus Tobe, Laurel Touby, and Esther Wojcicki) to take a 23andMe DNA test.

Moment summarizes:

For the most part, we found zero degrees of separation.

This means that most of the individuals we tested were directly related to one another.

This finding far exceeds the three degrees of separation found among most Americans.
I noticed Linda Chavez in the list and thought, not that Linda Chavez. But it is:
Linda Chavez’s family has lived in the New Mexico area for hundreds of years, and was always Catholic as far as she knew. A simple question she asked about a funny habit her grandmother had where she turned a statue towards the wall led her to discovering her family included conversos, or Jews who were forced to convert to Catholicism in 15th and 16th century Spain. Many conversos fled to the new world, ending up in Mexico and the nearby US states, including New Mexico. Albuquerque, the capital of New Mexico, even has a page on the city’s web site explaining conversos and their history in the city.

There is even evidence that Chistopher Columbus himself, who sailed on behalf of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, the same monarchs that forced Jews to convert, and in the same year that the inquisition began, was from a Jewish family that secretly converted. See this CNN article, Was Christopher Columbus secretly a Jew?, written by Charles Garcia.
I hadn't heard that one before.

Progressives Upset Bankers

After kicking right-wing users off various platforms such as PayPay, Airbnb and domain hosting, one progressive thought to take it a step further: shut down all financial transactions involving guns. The NYTimes didn't think it was insane; it published it. According the the writer Sorkin, executives he talked to said it was a good idea. Whether they were serious or afraid of being burned at the stake I honestly cannot guess.

But at least one banker realized this was insanity.

Call for bank crackdown on gun sales is deeply misguided
What Sorkin is suggesting is more of the same, although perhaps with worse consequences. If banks take action where policymakers do not or cannot, they are essentially putting themselves above the law. And if banks start playing that role, where does it end?

What if, for example, banks and credit card companies decided to stop processing payments for any retail purchase of cigarettes? After all, cigarettes are demonstrably bad for all consumers, and secondhand smoke can harm innocent people. Should banks step in to help protect society at large?

Or what if banks decided to stop processing payments for abortion clinics because they believed the practice was immoral? Is it fair for financial institutions to make abortion effectively illegal? What if President Trump called on financial firms to cut off access to environmental groups he believed were delaying projects that could bring jobs to local economies? Maybe banks should freeze Colin Kaepernick’s checking account until he stops kneeling during the national anthem?

Many of these examples are extreme, but you get my point. Just because banks can be used to have a dramatic impact on our society doesn’t mean they should be.
Truth be told, I can't imagine cryptocurrencies displacing the existing financial system because of path dependency. In less developed countries, cryptocurrencies should take off faster because they lack infrastructure, similar to how less developed nations adopted mobile phones more quickly. However, if there's one surefire way to bring about the destruction of the existing financial system and replace it with crypto, it would be to put progressives in control. If you think progressives might win back power sometime in the next decade, all the more reason to support the breakneck pace of blockchain development.

Slowly Breaking The Overton Window, Into Pieces

Watergate was the County Fair, We're Going to Disneyworld

In October, Bigger Than Watergate: Bushes, Clinton, Obama, FBI, NSA, Russia Collude Against Trump. At that point we didn't have a lot of details and a lot of junk information, but evidence of a major corruption scandal was there.

In December, Russia Collusion Crimes May Blow Watergate Away

The GOP memo says that what was suspected in December was true.

And now we get the cherry on top of this corruption sundae: POTUS wants to know everything we're doing
Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016, about prepping Comey because "potus wants to know everything we're doing." According to a newly released Senate report, this text raises questions about Obama's personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.
This is the keystone. If POTUS is involved, a special prosecutor can investigate the entire Executive Branch. Every rumored scandal is potentially back on the front burner if new evidence is unearthed. The most important may be the IRS targeting of conservative groups because it would show a pattern of authoritarian, corrupt abuse of executive power for years. Instead of draining a little part of the swamp, Trump will have a case for draining all of the Executive branch.

Hacking the Puritans

Last week's "This Week in Reaction" links to a piece at Occam's Razor: The Boomer Cuckservative Interpretation of Western Civilization. The subject is:
A truly embarrassing American Conservative article by Bradley J. Birzer, “Bring on the Conservative Debate for Immigration,” wherein Brad basically argues that the entire telos of Western Civilization is toward open borders. Seriously. I’m not making this up.
"Around the horn" is a term for : a difficult route chosen despite a simpler alternative. Often this is used in the context of path dependency. The movie Toy Story 2 gives a good example of this:
There may be better ways of doing something, but sometimes it is easier to go with the flow than to fight it.

Open borders is the direction of Western Civilization. Free trade and free movement of peoples within the West was common more than a century ago. Many of the problems associated with open borders are a problem of property rights, not national boundaries. Foreigners come into your land, your elites take your sustenance and give it to them, your elites punish you if you refuse to accommodate foreign culture, customs and behavior. If we close the borders, we're still stuck with the same vile elites. We have solved nothing except removed one tactic they use to abuse the people.

Women are allowed in male sports such as wrestling and put on male teams. Males are generally not allowed to compete in female sports, despite a few hilarious exceptions. The elites do not favor equality, they use an ideological veneer of equality to punish males. If they were forced to fully enforce their own ideology, female sports would cease to exist as we know it.

Similarly, they do not favor open borders or a borderless world, they want to punish the West. Their policy is colonization. The West has no border in the same sense British India had no border with Britain, but Britain still had a border with India.

We can advance in either direction and we may be forced to advance in both directions because globalization is made possible by technology and communications. Even if there's a backlash to globalization, it might only last a few decades or generations before the third and possibly final wave of globalization (assuming no regression into a new Dark Age).

Look at Bitcoin. Here's a list of Bitcoin nodes. Western countries (and Singapore) make up 65% of the nodes, going solely by the top 10 list. It looks a lot like a map of GDP in 1900.
China won't allow Bitcoin because it won't cede control. India is cracking down too. For all the world has changed, it still looks remarkably unchanged in many ways.

Nationalism with anti-globalization and an ethnostate is direct conflict, yang to ying, against the Cathedal. A diaspora approach is the adaptive, anti-fragile strategy. Neo-Imperialism and "The New White Man's Burden" is judo. Use the enemy's energy and catapult yourself above them, securing the new position of MOST HIGH AND VIRTUOUS, plus goodies for everyone at home. The latter scenario is not only possible, it is likely. Today, the GOP/cuckservative serves as the Outer Party to the Cathedral. The Right can envelop the Cathedral from all sides and from within.
