No More Metaphors 2: Ramos Says "America Is Ours"

Jorge Ramos: America Is ‘Our Country, Not Theirs’—‘And We Are Not Going to Leave’
“But you know what? This is also our country. Let me repeat this: Our country, not theirs. It is our country. And we are not going to leave. We are nearly 60 million Latinos in the United States,” he continued. “And thanks to us, the United States eats, grows and, as we’ve seen today, sings and dances.”

“So when they attack us, we already know what we are going to do. We are not going to sit down. We will not shut up. And we will not leave. That is what we are going to do,” he added.
People scoffted if you said there was an invasion last year. Now the invaders use the language of war and conquest.

Frogtwitter RIP

Raining Frogs
Is Twitter banning threats or ideas?

This week, Twitter locked, suspended, or terminated the accounts of at least 10 prominent users. All affected accounts, as far as I’m aware, were critical of contemporary society and attacked it from the right. They included a fringe continental philosopher, a YouTube pundit, and six leaders of an influential Twitter clique known as frogtwitter.

Despite journalists breathless attempts to label frogtwitter as neo-Nazi, white supremacist, anti-democracy, Alt-Right, and “NRx,” it’s in reality just a small group of young, vaguely right-wing intellectuals interested in critiquing Western life. They aren’t all white (not even close), nor are they all American. It has an internal list serve, internal communications, and recognized leaders who offer their critiques through tweets and organize via DMs. It’s not a mass fascist movement, it has nothing to do with Richard Spencer, and most traditional conservatives either hate it or don’t understand it. It’s opposed by an equally intellectual and anti-PC group, the Dirtbag Left, though the two sides often share the same ideas and memes. That is, until one side was banned.

Immigration Drives Up Home Prices

Bloomberg: Why Trump's Immigration Crackdown Could Sink U.S. Home Prices
President Donald Trump’s immigration policies threaten to crack a foundation of the American economy: the residential real estate market. Legal and otherwise, immigrants, long a pillar of growth in homebuying, are no longer feeling the warm welcome and optimism necessary for their biggest purchase.

Most people are idiots. But perhaps some will be redpilled. If you're young and don't own a home, seeing home prices drop as illegals are deported will give you an incentive to want more deportations.

The shitlib's lizard brain will eat his hamster: "I'm 1 million deportations away from a beach house! Get rid of those H1-B visas!"

In place of the hamster will be Pepe.

Former Khmer Rouge Turn to Christ

The former Khmer Rouge cadres who turned to God for salvation
Kong Duong was appointed chief propagandist and, as the head of the Khmer Rouge radio station from 1979 to 1996, his sonorous timbre became well known among supporters of the genocidal regime. His was, in effect, the voice of Pol Pot during a tumultuous period.

After almost four years, during which about two million Cambodians died from starvation, execution and overwork, Vietnamese troops ousted the Khmer Rouge leadership from Phnom Penh on January 7, 1979. The party’s supporters fled west to Cambodia’s border with Thailand, where they continued to engage the Vietnamese in guerilla conflict. Kong Duong played his part by waging a verbal war of propaganda over the radio waves.

Today, he has a very different master: the Lord. Having settled in Pailin province, Kong Duong now professes to be a Christian, and hosts a radio programme, New Signs, that broadcasts Christian commentary across Cambodia. And judging by the listeners who call in, his audience remains much the same.

“Most of the callers are former Khmer Rouge cadres,” he confirms, speaking in the car park of his impressive Pailin mansion (Kong Duong is also a government official).

Russian Hacking or Pizzagate?

In bizarro America, at least two Clinton Administration officials are under investigation by DC police on pedophilia charges. Clinton's Chief of Staff John Podesta is under FBI investigation for connections to a global pedophile ring according to unnamed sources. House Democrats say they will launch an investigation into claims of sexual abuse by former pages and interns. The Alt-Right toils away in obscurity claiming to have evidence that Russia hacked voting machines in several key swing states.

Black Genocide in Detroit

Back to the endless well at The Economist. How immigrants are helping Detroit’s recovery
“WE ARE proud of our Muslim community in Michigan,” says Rick Snyder, the state’s Republican governor, sitting in his office in the grandiose Cadillac Place, the former headquarters of General Motors. Ever since his first state-of-the-state address in 2011, Mr Snyder has emphasised the importance of welcoming people from across the world to this large midwestern state. Thanks to once-plentiful jobs in the car industry, greater Detroit has the largest Arab-American community in America. Almost half the population of Dearborn, a suburb that is home to Ford Motor Company, is from the Middle East. Hamtramck, another Detroit suburb, is the first city in America with a majority-Muslim city council.
It is known that throughout the world, where you find auto plants, you will find Arabs. Everyone knows the Middle East's #1 export is autos.
In his most recent state-of-the state address last month, the governor set the goal of reaching 10m state residents again in the next three years. He proudly pointed out that, in the past six years, Michigan had gained 50,000 new people. “Immigrants account for all of that population growth,” explains Steve Tobocman, head of Global Detroit, a non-profit organisation promoting immigration.
Republican governor. Gibs me dat GDP!
Three years ago Mr Snyder created the Michigan Office for New Americans, with the aim of attracting skilled and entrepreneurial immigrants.
Republican governor.
The statistics are encouraging. Immigrants create businesses at triple the rate of American-born residents. Between 2011 and 2015, 63% of adult immigrants to Michigan had a college degree. Immigrants still represent only 6% of the state’s population, but 33% of high-tech firms created there between 1990 and 2005 have at least one immigrant founder. Many of them set up shop in newly trendy downtown Detroit.
There is not one drop of wine in that statistical sewage. A lot of immigrant businesses are started to serve the immigrant community. The Arab-speaking immigrants go to Arab-speaking restaurants, dry cleaners, day care, etc. If you think American college degrees are a joke, many foreign degrees are worse. Who are the immigrants starting high-tech firms? I'm guessing Far, not Middle, East.

Immigration fetish. I don't know how else to describe such gleeful displacement of natives.

The Cathedral Strikes Back: Madness!

U.S. lawmakers push for answers on Trump team's Russia ties
But Republican Trump critics including Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham voiced fresh consternation. Adding to the pressure were comments by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, who has been a Trump supporter.

Corker said the Russia issue was threatening Trump's agenda on foreign affairs and domestic matters like healthcare and tax policy. He questioned whether the White House was able to stabilize itself and said Flynn should testify before Congress.

"Let's get everything out as quickly as possible on this Russia issue," Corker told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program. "Maybe there's a problem that obviously goes much deeper than what we now suspect."
Ha ha! Holy shit that is how you gaslight a conservative Republican Senator in America!

Republicans Fret Over Slow Pace of Congress Early in Trump Term
Complicating matters, Republicans are getting ambushed almost every day by the news blitz from the Trump White House, particularly the revelations that intelligence agencies and the FBI are examining the extent of contacts Trump’s advisers had with Russia during and after the 2016 campaign. Calls for Congress to more exhaustively look into Russia’s involvement in the elections could further slow the policy agenda, lawmakers say.

“It is a distraction,” said Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker, adding that it takes the focus off other important issues like overhauling the tax code. “It takes away from other efforts. We have a job to do here, it’s important and it matters to people. There’s no question that all the activity around Russia right now is a distraction.”
Perhaps the Left is gaslighting itself again. It looks like every story is quoting the same few cucks. On the other hand, the first 100 days are historically the most important of a new administration. If the MSM can convince everyone that investigating the Duke lacrosse rape case, I mean the UVA rape case, I mean George W. Bush's Texas air national guard service, I mean the Russian connections is the most pressing issue, then perhaps nothing will get done. As we stretch later and later into 2017, Congressmen start worrying about their election in 2018 and they shy away from controversial areas such as healthcare. Plus, some of these votes will require dealmaking, for example deficit hawks want spending cuts from somewhere (probably Obamacare) and Democrats want infrastructure. Trump has an majority agenda that can bring in enough support if he moves it through as a package.

The American government, for the moment, is ground to a halt because of MSM lies. A good parallel to the Russian connections story is Pizzagate. If the MSM went after Pizzagate with the full fury it is pouring into the Russia story, the American people would believe DC is full of pedophiles. Bob Corker would be searching the Senate cloackroom for pedophiles. There would undoubtedly be at least one or two Congressmen with a strange relationship to a page or intern. Even if wholly innocent, the media could spin it.

MSM Is Cancer

Quotes from Addicted to Distraction: Psychological consequences of the Mass Media by Bruce Charlton.

The Old Left was mostly focused on the economy – Marxism was mostly an economic theory. Thus its analysis was based on an economic category of Class; and its tools were economic things like nationalization and redistribution of wealth. The most favoured group was The Proletariat, which was in practice essentially the native male working class of manual labourers, especially as represented by Trades Unions.

But the New Left is in practice almost indifferent to the economy; and instead focuses on a rainbow of identity politics, ‘Human Rights’, ‘the environment’, anti-racism, feminism and (most of all) promoting the sexual revolution.

Consequently, the New Left has ‘switched sides’, and turned-against the native class of male manual labourers; and now strongly favours women, other ethnicities, the unemployed and economically inactive, and newly arrived immigrants.

The qualitative transition from Old to New Left demonstrates that there is no stable, long-term positive ideology to the Mass Media – and even the most fundamental values and principles may at some point be discarded or reversed.

And although relativistic, the Mass Media ideology is not tolerant. Whatever is being asserted now is absolute, and opposition is not considered reasonable.
A description of the media and the progressive left that most on the Alt-Right are familiar with. He explains further:
It should therefore be emphasized that despite its fanatically-opinionated campaigns in favour of this, that or the other; relativism is indeed, over time, a profoundly negative ideology –indeed relativism sooner-or-later undermines any positive agenda which may emerge – even its own ideas such as the dictatorship of the proletariat which at one time seemed so terribly important to such a lot of people in the Mass Media.

In sum, the Mass Media is an agent of Permanent Revolution. And the Mass Media dominates modernity. Consequently our society is in a permanent state of revolution.

Permanent revolution means that the Mass Media has no positive goal or aim – there is no long-term plan to structure society in some permanently-sustainable way; indeed whatever is was or may in future be achieved, exists only to be dismantled and replaced when expedient.
The MSM's goal is the destruction of order, even an order they help bring about. A good recent example is gays being pushed out of the Democrat party in favor of Muslims. Less than 2 years ago, the Progressives were celebrating the SCOTUS decision on gay marriage and spiking the football on the faces of Christian bakers and Christian TV personalities (getting a couple of brothers fired from a home improvement show, trying to get Duck Dynasty taken off the air). Now they prefer people who throw gays off roofs, or stone them, or worse.

But is Progressivism driving the media, or vice versa? Charlton says the MSM is Progressivism:
When people ask whether the Mass Media has a Leftist bias; the only rational response is to suggest that they un-ask the question: because that question contains false assumptions, implies a false framework.

Properly understood the Mass Media is Leftist bias, it is the core of Leftism, and has been since the mid-1960s at least, and is ever-more-so.

The standard model by which people try to understand media bias is a government which tells the media what to say and vets what it says in all minute particulars: something like Stalin and The Party dictating what got written, and what was not written, in Pravda.

That obviously isn’t what happens in the modern world – it would of course be impossible, such is the utterly vast volume of material being generated; and stupid people suppose this means that the media and government are independent the one of the other.

The Mass Media is not biased to Leftism, it is Leftism; so of course, Leftism must come from within the media: the bias is generated by the Mass Media.
Here's the bit relevant to Michael Flynn, Russia hacking the election, Donald Trump is Hitler, violent protests at Berkeley, memory holing Omar Mateen and more:
Nobody is immune – everybody in public life who wants to stay in public life is afraid of the Mass Media.

(Well, everybody within the system of worldly modernity, anyway; but this now has an extensive reach. The state of deferential terror towards the Mass Media notably includes the heads of the major Western ostensibly-Christian churches, who very obviously fear to depart from the media Leftist agenda, and live in continual trepidation about having a target painted on them by the Mass Media. This has eliminated traditional Christianity – that is, real Christianity – from the leadership of all the major denominations.)

The Mass Media choose and label the targets for exemplary punishment, and various groups (judges, tax officials, police, officials, astroturf mobs, real mobs... it does not much matter which) will enforce punishments of one sort or another – from harassment via investigations, up to vandalism, violence, prison and murder; and the media gives the whole process a positive interpretation.

That which happens outside this and/ or against the agenda of the Mass Media loop is ignored, mentioned then flushed down the memory hole, reframed, vilified, distorted, lied about, subjected to invented slurs...
Oh! the possibilities are endless!
The CIA spies on an American citizen and releases the information to the public. The media runs with it because it fits their Narrative of Russian "hacking." When this is done by an individual (Linda Tripp) or insufficiently Leftist regime (Bush the Younger), the story is the spying and violation of the law. When the target of the spying is insufficiently Leftist, the spying is played down and the information played up. When a low level town clerk (the very bottom rung of American government positions) doesn't follow the law (Kim Davis), a national hate-fest is launched by the MSM. When high-level state and local officials announce they will not follow federal immigration law, they are regaled as heroes.

Consider how the media portrays the astro-turf protests at the town halls of Republican Congressmen. All but the most redpilled will be fooled by these displays, convinced by the media that there is great opposition to President Trump.

How to fight the MSM? Leftism cannot be co-opted by the Right, but anything that damages the MSM will lead to more reaction:
The Mass Media is the enemy of reaction, and cannot – as a whole – be subverted or exploited for reactionary purposes.

While the Mass Media is growing, the forces of ‘reaction’ can sometimes win a battle on a micro-issue, but overall and over-time will lose the war.

Conversely, anything which significantly damages the reach or grip of the Mass Media net damages Leftism – even if restrictions go against freedom, democracy, balance; even if directed against reaction; all things which tend to limit the Mass Media will ultimately tend towards reaction...
If you turn off the TV, you become more reactionary. If you use social media to block the MSM signal and create a right-wing echo chamber, you become more reactionary. If you create Black Twitter, you eventually get Hotep. If you created Alt-Right Twitter, you get oven memes and Pepes. If you launch Breitbart, or substitute the Daily Mail for CNN, even the conservakin become more reactionary. The more the Internet fractures "The Narrative" into many smaller Narratives, the result is increased reaction. As long as they are not from within "The Narrative," not MSM, they will eventually tend towards reaction.

To this point the MSM sounds like a virus, but it is really a cancer. Since Permanent Revolution has no goal, the only thing the MSM can do is grow.
The Mass Media is a social system like no other; and the difference accounts for its intrinsic evil: that is to say its intrinsic tendency towards destruction of Good (destruction of truth, beauty and virtue).

The Mass Media is a social system of communications – indeed, all systems (as systems) can be regarded as being made of communications: communications between processing units. These units are what process the information in the communications – and for the Mass Media, the main processing units are humans minds – although some processing is nowadays done by computers.

But the other social systems have a basic, core, extrinsic and unifying social function that is clearly useful: the police and military are for maintaining the distinctness and cohesion of society by use of intra-social and inter-societal coercive force; the legal system is about arbitrating disputes by formal mechanisms, the health services are about alleviating suffering, promoting health and increasing life expectancy; the educational system about transmission of knowledge and so on.

Whether these systems actually do what they purport to do, is another matter. But all the social systems have a relatively clear and valuable and well understood social aim.

However, the Mass Media does not have a specific social function; and therefore its default function is merely that of all systems (and living things) namely to survive, grow, reproduce... to expand itself. That is, to expand its own system of communications; because it seems that the Mass Media does not have any extrinsic goal, nor any unifying useful function (since ‘amplification’ is not an intrinsic function, not an end – merely a means to the end of other social systems).

Therefore, the Mass Media succeeds by growing its own system of communications – and fails when this growth fails to happen, as when expansion reverses into contraction, shrinkage, reduction of the volume of Mass Media communications.
You can kill a tumor by starving it's food supply. The MSM feeds on brains. Progressivism is your brain on MSM.

Worst Obamacare Story Ever

From the comments at Reason:
So, if Obamacare gets repealed, do you think there will be any retroactive relief?

For instance, guy I know, used to get insurance through his wife's work. They took that away, and he goes to a volunteer group, who screw up and get him a subsidy he didn't qualify for at the end of the year because he made about $200 too much.

Wife's work changes mind, and he's back on their plan, but the IRS is insisting he pays back about $7000 plus interest. Poor old guy will never be able to retire.
The ACA is a giant tax on people, but for lower income Americans (and since the ACA drove up costs, the definition of low income stretches well over $70,000 for families) the federal government pays the subsidies. So effectively, the ACA was a means to have the Federal Reserve finance the American healthcare system, with the health industry skimming profits off the top.

But....if you happened to fall perfectly through the cracks, get a plan you can't afford without massive subsidies and then lose the subsidies, you owe the IRS a lot of money because the subsidies are "advanced tax credits."

If you ran a business like this, you'd probably be sent to jail for being part of organized crime.

They Gotta Go Back

Paying Them Not To Kill Us?
I bet you didn’t know the Department of Homeland Security takes millions of your tax dollars and hands it over to Muslim organizations in America so they can try and convince their minions not to conduct a jihad against us. Isn’t that precious?

I guess if they are turning down the money because of Trump, that means they will encourage their junior jihadists to violently oppose our society.
That is the obvious implication if we apply progressive logic to government spending policies.

Give em a ticket for an aeroplane
Ain't got time to take a fast train
Illegals days are done, they're a-goin' home
My President he just wrote the order

I don't care how much money I gotta spend
Got to get em back to where they came from
Jihadis days are done, they're a-goin' home
My President, he just wrote the order

Well, he wrote the order
Said we couldn't wait for Congress no more
Listen judge, can't you see they got to go back
We don't want em no more
Anyway, yeah!

No More Metaphors: Mexicans Announce They're Invading the USA

“We Are Here To Fight” - Mexican Migrants Said To Prefer Arrest Over Deportation
Meanwhile, following yesterday's report that Mexicans are planning on "jamming US courts" as deportations are set to surge, today the WSJ writes that all but one of about 50 undocumented Mexican migrants at a meeting Saturday indicated they would rather risk detention and long court battles in the U.S. than return to Mexico voluntarily. The majority of migrants at the meeting in Phoenix, which included Mexican officials, signaled in a show of hands that they were ready to fight deportation in U.S. courts.

“Even if that means detention for weeks?” asked former foreign minister Jorge Castaneda.

“Even if it takes months,” shouted one woman. “Even if it takes years,” another yelled. “We are here to fight.”
Nobody expects war with Mexico, but Mexico also doesn't think America will fight a war. Hence the escalation. Mexican politicians in the United States say they will join with Mexican nationals in America, in fighting the U.S. President.

The media is trying to play up this battle, but their straight reporting will probably backfire because most Americans do not like hearing foreigners scream that they have the right to tell Americans what to do. Even if it doesn't change the percentage breakdowns of those for and against illegal immigration, this will harden the position of conservakins and normies who will become fed up at the sight.

Cthulhu Ate Too Soon Before Swimming, Is Not Happy

Most Europeans want immigration ban from Muslim-majority countries, poll reveals
A majority of Europeans want a ban on immigration from Muslim-majority countries, a poll has revealed.

An average of 55 per cent of people across the 10 European countries surveyed wanted to stop all future immigration from mainly Muslim countries.
When you lie, you run the risk that your lie takes on a life of its own. Progressives do not understand what is happening in the country, their time preference is as high as a crackwhore's and they are flailing around for a strategy. What have they accomplished by fighting Trump's executive order? They've created the idea of a Muslim ban and generated majority support for it in Europe. If the Right proposed a Muslim ban it would be denounced as racist, but by inversion, the left has planted the idea by their opposition to it. The alternative to open borders is not sane immigration policy anymore, but a Muslim ban. For those about to cry, we salute you!

On the other side, it looks like Trump advisor Bannon has very low time preference:

What Steve Bannon Wants You to Read
They are not mainstream thinkers, but their writings help to explain the commotion that has defined the Trump administration’s early days. They include a Lebanese-American author known for his theories about hard-to-predict events; an obscure Silicon Valley computer scientist whose online political tracts herald a “Dark Enlightenment”; and a former Wall Street executive who urged Donald Trump’s election in anonymous manifestos by likening the trajectory of the country to that of a hijacked airplane—and who now works for the National Security Council.
It's designed to be a smear piece, so take it with a grain of salt.

"In 26 Years, I've Never Seen Anything Like This" White House Leaks Reportedly Reveal Trump Team Turmoil
“I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this,” said Eliot Cohen, a senior State Department official under President George W. Bush and a member of his National Security Council. “I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president.”
Thanks neocon psychologist. What makes Trump mentally unhealthy?
There is the matter of Trump’s briefing materials, for example. The commander in chief doesn’t like to read long memos, a White House aide who asked to remain unnamed told The Huffington Post. So preferably they must be no more than a single page. They must have bullet points but not more than nine per page.
Wow. Just. Wow.

Trump’s faux-pas diplomacy
Normally, this person said, any change in foreign policy — or discussions on the calls — would be heavily vetted with experts and senior department officials. “These are usually the most orchestrated of affairs,” this person said. “They aren’t orchestrated like that anymore.”

This person said “what really bothers you about this administration is they don’t care about the experts and what we’ve done here for decades. I don’t think they trust us for anything.”

Multiculturalism Leads to Identity Politics

This isn't a theory, it is an observation.

In his campaign against Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, ex-premier Mahathir Mohamad has accused his successor of selling the country out by granting sweetheart deals to investors from China and encouraging mass immigration.

“I categorically welcome FDI [foreign direct investment) from China as I welcome FDI from any country. What I object to is the kind of FDI from China,” Mahathir wrote in a recent blog. “It is not about investing in manufacturing industries in Malaysia. It is about acquiring land in Malaysia, building settlements, towns, and cities which are to be sold to mainland Chinese who will come and live here. They will not number in the hundreds or thousands but in the millions.

“The Chinese are welcome to invest in industries in Malaysia. But just as we would not welcome mass immigration of Indians or Pakistanis or Europeans or Africans into Malaysia we have to adopt the same stance on Chinese immigration into Malaysia.”
Read the article. What shines through is that identity politics is retarded. It obscures the real issues.

White identity in the United States is the retreat position for Whites living in Third World America, not a return to First World politics. Things aren't going to get better when identity politics are the norm, the choices are bad and worse. White identity politics is a waypoint on the road to collapse.

New Economic Research: Blacks and Hispanics Lazier

This paper is covered in, of all places, The Economist.

New research suggests that effort at work is correlated with race
GIVEN the long history of making racial slurs about the efforts of some workers, any study casting black and Hispanic men as lazier than whites and Asians is sure to court controversy. A provocative new working paper by economists Daniel Hamermesh, Katie Genadek and Michael Burda sticks a tentative toe into these murky waters. They suggest that America’s well-documented racial wage gap is overstated by 10% because minorities, especially men, spend larger portions of their workdays not actually working. After rejecting a number of plausible explanations for why this might be, the authors finally attribute the discrepancy to unexplained “cultural differences”.

Denunciations came quickly, however. Within hours of publication, Mr Hamermesh received vitriolic messages and was labelled a racist in an online forum popular among economists. Mr Hamermesh, an avowed progressive, who refers to Donald Trump only by amusing nicknames and resigned from a post at the University of Texas over a state law permitting the open carrying of firearms, finds this unfair. He notes that Americans work too much. His preferred solution would not be for some groups to work more, but for others to work less.
Of Course!

Take it with a grain of salt because it is based on self-reported responses, but add back a little grain because a progressive couldn't eliminate the findings. I would be more confident if the research focused on blue collar jobs (unclear from the article), since the difference between working and not working is very clear. In white collar jobs, Whites and Asians might engage in more actually productive or self-reported "productive" slacking off. Lazily reading about an upcoming industry conference or maybe a research report about how blacks are lazy. Are you 100% slacking off if you read that while doing you HR job?
